Lesson · Word 8

Integrity

A knife is a tool. In one person's hands, it cuts vegetables for nourishment. In another's, it becomes a weapon for harm. The knife itself is neutral—it has potential but no intention. The morality exists not in the tool but in the mind wielding it.

Power is the same.

Power is the capacity to create change, to influence outcomes, to affect circumstances. Everyone has some degree of power—over their actions, their words, their choices. Some have power over organisations, communities, nations. But regardless of scale, power itself is neither good nor evil. It is what the wielder does with it that matters.

"Where do you hold power over others — and have you always been honest with yourself about how you use it?"
