Lesson · Word 4

Inspiration

We survived because we learned from others, shared ideas with them, and were inspired by them. Because if you do not allow yourself to be inspired by others, you lose out on a whole world of knowledge, of thoughts, ideas, mistakes, and beliefs, of teachings and mentorship.

But what if we only act based on another's command and reasoning? If that is the case, you are no longer inspired, but you are influenced.

When we absorb too much information from others, we lose control of our own thoughts and beliefs. Humans are not bad or evil, but easily influenced. None of us wish to embrace evil, but we blindly pursue evil that is disguised as good.

"Which beliefs you hold are genuinely yours, and which were absorbed without examination?"
