Uncertainty
Life is uncertain. You can plan meticulously and still encounter the unexpected. You can prepare thoroughly and still face surprises. You can know all the variables and still not predict the outcome. This is not a flaw in your planning—it is the nature of existence.
Most anxiety comes from resisting this reality. We want certainty. We want guarantees. We want to know that if we do X, we will get Y. But life rarely offers such guarantees.
The person who cannot tolerate uncertainty will struggle constantly. Every decision becomes paralyzing. Every unknown becomes threatening. Every unpredictable element becomes a source of fear.
