Purpose is often framed as individual — your calling, your mission, your unique contribution. This framing is important. It is worth knowing what specifically you are here to do. But beneath every individual purpose, there exists a universal one — a foundation shared across all paths, regardless of where they lead.
Be good to people.
This sounds almost too simple to take seriously. It sounds like advice you would find on a refrigerator magnet, not in an honest exploration of purpose. But simple is not the same as easy, and the test of a principle is not how elegant it sounds but how difficult it is to live by consistently.
